Hello Students and Parents,<\/strong><\/p>\n

This simple website will serve to provide access to what is going on in the classroom. \u00a0Here you will find daily updates of class activities, notes, assignments, and anything else that is relevant to our work. \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Each daily update can be found either on the left side bar or at the bottom of this page depending upon what type of browser\/device you are using.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you click on a daily update it will have a short blurb about what is going on, including notes and sometimes short videos describing the work\/concepts we are focused on in class. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

When students are absent, they are responsible for looking at the days they have missed and ensuring they have the correct notes and assignments. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supply List: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2 composition books – one black, one blue\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The black book is for note taking<\/p>\n

The blue book is for examples<\/p>\n

(do the colors truly matter? no. \u00a0But Mr. Potter often says ‘take out your black book’ or ‘take out your blue book’ in class. \u00a0Just keep track of which one is which for yourself, and we’ll all be fine.)<\/p>\n

Make sure you have these with you each class period. \u00a0If you are missing your note book or example book, you are responsible for taking the notes or examples down on a separate piece of paper and then transferring them into your notebook or example book. \u00a0The notebook and example book will be checked periodically for accuracy and completion. \u00a0These are by far the easiest grades you can get in my class. \u00a0Not getting 100% on these would be silly.<\/p>\n

Two pocket folders<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

These will be for holding center work, as well as materials. \u00a0Simple pocket folders are perfectly fine. \u00a0The folders don’t need prongs however some students prefer them.<\/p>\n

A package of dry erase markers<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

We do a good amount of work on our white boards in class, and we go through a good amount of dry erase markers. \u00a0Often these can be found at the dollar store.<\/p>\n

A sock<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

This is for erasing work on the white boards.<\/p>\n

Pencils<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Ensure you have pencils with you during class. \u00a0I have been surprised by the number of students who do not regularly bring pencils with them. \u00a0We will make tons of mistakes and corrections. \u00a0Your writing instrument should be erasable, so pens will not work.<\/p>\n

Altogether, I would expect these materials to run anywhere from $3-5 total at a dollar store or a large discount store.<\/p>\n
