Monday of a very strange week.<\/p>\n

And we had a very strange day!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We spent the great majority of our morning talking about cells, microscopic organisms, and all sorts of neat stuff. \u00a0We learned that cells are the smallest structural parts of living things. \u00a0We also discussed the difference between living and non-living things. \u00a0We had quite a few misconceptions about what was living and non-living. \u00a0Many students believed that stars, the Earth, and other non-living things were alive.<\/p>\n
We watched a lot of interesting videos, having to do with looking at plant and animal slides. \u00a0We also watched a video that totally disgusted the students and told them about all the bacteria and microscopic animals that live on their bodies!<\/p>\n
Tonight students have two short passages to read and some questions to answer about cells:<\/p>\n
WhatsInYourCells<\/a><\/p>\n TheCellsThatMakeUs<\/a><\/p>\n As always I expect some reasoning!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We then talked very briefly about subtraction and subtraction with decimals. \u00a0We discussed the difference between 3.4 – 21.57 and 21.57 – 3.4, and how the order matters in a subtraction problem. \u00a0We didn’t get nearly as far as I would have liked with this, so unfortunately we didn’t get to the homework part of this. \u00a0Monday schedules are so weird!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n so, tl;dr<\/p>\n A lite day today<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Simply read these two passages and answer the questions with reasoning:<\/p>\n WhatsInYourCells<\/a><\/p>\n TheCellsThatMakeUs<\/a><\/p>\n and read!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Have a good one,<\/p>\n <\/p>\n -Mr. Potter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Monday of a very strange week.
