{"id":239,"date":"2014-05-14T19:18:55","date_gmt":"2014-05-14T19:18:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=239"},"modified":"2014-05-14T19:26:39","modified_gmt":"2014-05-14T19:26:39","slug":"homework-may-14-wed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=239","title":{"rendered":"Homework May 14 (Wed)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two days until Field Trip!<\/p>\n<p>Today we had our last day talking about multiplying decimals&#8230;..hopefully. \u00a0Tomorrow we will have a quiz on this, so if you are not certain about how this works, look back over your notes and the past posts.<\/p>\n<p>Students should finish the last three rows of their multiplying decimals worksheet. \u00a0This will be turned in tomorrow for an ACCURACY grade. \u00a0 Double check your work, and then triple-check it. \u00a0There&#8217;s no reason this should not be an easy 100%.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/MultiplyingDecimalsMay13.pdf\">MultiplyingDecimalsMay13<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Language Arts we talked some more about figurative language and then talked about what the words tangible and intangible mean. \u00a0Some of our students had a hard time grasping the idea of something that is intangible, and we had quite the conversations about how ideas and concepts are intangible, but something like the sun, which we might not actually be able to touch with our hands realistically, is still a tangible object.<\/p>\n<p>For homework tonight, students should do pages 202-204 in their motivation reading book. \u00a0This is also to be turned in tomorrow for a grade.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In science, we talked about our research project, and the students were handed note-cards on which to write their subtopics and to start organizing their information. \u00a0This was something new to many, but will make writing their research paper much easier.<\/p>\n<p>We also finished up talking about electricity, and students have a page full of definitions to finish in their science journals. \u00a0Some finished in the classroom, but some still have this to finish before the end of the day tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tldr;<\/p>\n<p>Finish the last three rows of decimal problems on the multiplying decimals worksheet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/MultiplyingDecimalsMay13.pdf\">MultiplyingDecimalsMay13<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Do pages 202-204 in motivation reading<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>THE FIELD TRIP IS THIS FRIDAY! \u00a0Students took a letter home with a short list of items they should prepare. \u00a0Here it is, in case it was lost along the way:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/fieldtripltr.pdf\">fieldtripltr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Human Growth and Development meeting is also tomorrow at 5:45 pm in the media center. \u00a0Please come out and hear about what&#8217;s going on in our classroom near the end of June!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a good one!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>-Mr. Potter<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two days until Field Trip!
