{"id":511,"date":"2014-10-29T19:07:17","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T19:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=511"},"modified":"2014-10-29T19:07:17","modified_gmt":"2014-10-29T19:07:17","slug":"homework-oct-29-wed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=511","title":{"rendered":"Homework Oct 29 (Wed)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was a bit of a roller coaster<\/p>\n<p>We had an absolutely amazing morning, where we got 6 paws in the hallway just on our way to Science. \u00a0Then on the way back, however, we had to practice walking in straight, quiet lines.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We did very well during math centers, and we got to talk quite a bit about area, and how we can find missing sides of a rectangle given area or perimeter, and one side.<\/p>\n<p>For homework tonight, students have but a single problem. \u00a0I expect it to be done perfectly:<\/p>\n<p>Please draw a rectangle with the following properties:<\/p>\n<p>One side equal to 5cm, and a total perimeter of 60 cm<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Language Arts we read a short text about hiccups, where we talked about genre, and point of view. \u00a0We had a very lively discussion about whether the text was written in first, second, or third person point of view. \u00a0We didn&#8217;t even come to a consensus by the end of the discussion. \u00a0Many students had very valid points for their belief that the text was written in first or second person. \u00a0How about you?
