So this morning we put some finishing touches on our stories in the computer lab. \u00a0We re-formatted our stories so that we can print them out and then make little books out of them. \u00a0Almost everyone is on track to get this done tomorrow!<\/p>\n

We started to talk about triangles today in math, and took a bunch of notes. \u00a0Tonight students have a page of triangles to classify, as well as a page that *should* be review of different operations with decimals.<\/p>\n

TrianglesNotes<\/a><\/p>\n And the classification worksheet:<\/p>\n TrianglesClassificationNov24<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Students should also do page 62 in their motivation math book for decimal review.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In Language Arts, we had a great conversation about media, commercials, and advertising. \u00a0We talked about what advertisers are trying to do (persuade you), and about different advertisements that persuaded us, and those that did not.<\/p>\n We made lists of the characteristics of advertisements that we trusted and those that we did not. \u00a0We found that we tend to trust those that we either have previous experience\/knowledge about, or that go along with our own beliefs. \u00a0We tend to be distrustful of those that we are uninformed about, have no previous knowledge of, or that go contrary to our views\/understandings. \u00a0We then started talking about how it’s good to check things, whether we initially believe them or not.<\/p>\n Tonight students have a short passage along with the media theme, about the internet. \u00a0It is on page 208 in their motivation reading books. \u00a0As always they should answer the questions that follow, WITH REASONING!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Finally, we talked briefly about the digestive system once again, and got a chance to take our quiz. \u00a0Tonight ask your student about what happens to food after you eat it. \u00a0Make sure you do it during dinner so they can totally gross you and themselves out!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n so, tl;dr<\/p>\n triangle classification sheet<\/p>\n TrianglesClassificationNov24<\/a><\/p>\n P 62 in Motivation Math – decimal review<\/p>\n P208 in Motivation Reading – answer questions with reasoning!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n and read!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n have a good one,<\/p>\n <\/p>\n -Mr. Potter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Monday, but feels like Wednesday….
