{"id":688,"date":"2015-02-05T20:26:40","date_gmt":"2015-02-05T20:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=688"},"modified":"2015-02-05T20:26:40","modified_gmt":"2015-02-05T20:26:40","slug":"homework-feb-5-thurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=688","title":{"rendered":"Homework Feb 5 (Thurs)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fractions and Notes and Fractions and Notes and Fractions and Notes<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That was essentially our day. \u00a0We took a ridiculous amount of notes dealing with fractions, and talked a good deal about adding fractions and finding equivalent fractions. \u00a0In case they need them, most of the notes are here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/FractionNotes.pdf\">FractionNotes<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tonight students have a sheet of simple fraction addition, with like denominators. \u00a0They then have 6 problems where they are asked to find equivalent fractions. \u00a0I expect them to show me what form of one they multiplied by in order to find the equivalent fraction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/SimpleAddingFeb5.pdf\">SimpleAddingFeb5<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/EquivalentFractionsFeb5.pdf\">EquivalentFractionsFeb5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Language Arts we caught up some on The Mysterious Benedict Society, and did some rotations on Lexia, worked on word work, and worked on a short reading selection on weather. \u00a0Tonight students have a word ladder and weather reading to finish.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced my digital copies of these items. \u00a0When I find them, I&#8217;ll put them here!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Science we talked about the different types of clouds:<\/p>\n<p>cumulus are fluffy and puffy, and usually are found below 6000 ft.<\/p>\n<p>stratus are layered clouds and are also normally found below 6000 ft.<\/p>\n<p>cirrus clouds are the thin and wispy clouds found very high up, oftentimes above 20,000 ft.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We then took out some cotton balls and made our own clouds, and put them on a chart. \u00a0If you see some clouds outside today, ask your student what type they are!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>so, tl;dr<\/p>\n<p>one simple fraction addition sheet, plus 6 equivalent fraction problems<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/SimpleAddingFeb5.pdf\">SimpleAddingFeb5<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/EquivalentFractionsFeb5.pdf\">EquivalentFractionsFeb5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One reading selection on weather<\/p>\n<p>One word ladder<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As always, read for 35 minutes!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a good one,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>-Mr. Potter<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fractions and Notes and Fractions and Notes and Fractions and Notes &nbsp;
