annnnnd it was a disaster!! \u00a0We seem to have forgotten how to do work on our own! OH NO! \u00a0We had to model and discuss how independent and group work should look, and we will give it another go tomorrow.<\/p>\n

We talked briefly about simplifying fractions, and how we can divide by a form of one just like we multiply by a form of one. \u00a0A simplified fraction is just an equivalent fraction that has been reduced to the least number of fractional parts.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Tonight students have another sheet of adding fractions and finding equivalent fractions. \u00a0They should draw a fractional representation of each number, and then find equivalent fractions where the denominators are equal before they add.<\/p>\n
