{"id":780,"date":"2015-03-18T19:28:15","date_gmt":"2015-03-18T19:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=780"},"modified":"2015-03-18T19:28:15","modified_gmt":"2015-03-18T19:28:15","slug":"homework-mar-18-wed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/?p=780","title":{"rendered":"Homework Mar 18 (Wed)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This morning was a tad disappointing.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately half of the students came in today without their research rough draft paragraphs completed. \u00a0When we are so strapped for time, not getting these things done is really unforgivable. \u00a0It is IMPERATIVE that students get caught up tonight on this paper. \u00a0The rough draft in its entirety is due on Friday, and the final paper is due next week on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Math we finally got back to our Center Rotations. \u00a0Since we are doing review and getting ready for our end of quarter benchmark, we are doing Centers a tad differently. \u00a0Each center has the problems to be done as well as the answers and walk-throughs on the back so students can check their work themselves after each center. \u00a0This way they can hopefully find their mistakes and realize what they are proficient with, and what they still have to work on.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tonight students have four MULTI STEP word problems to do. \u00a0These are NOT simply grab the numbers and perform an operation problems. \u00a0If students do not slow down, think about what the question is asking, and in many cases draw a model, it will be very difficult to get the answers to these.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Word-Problems-March-18.pdf\">Word Problems March 18<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Language Arts we kept working on our papers, and also finally took our vocab test from last week. \u00a0Tonight students NEED to get their intro and 3 main body paragraphs written out.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Science we finally had a good talk about transfer of energy. \u00a0We talked about what kinds of things are good conductors of heat, and what are poor conductors (or insulators). \u00a0Tonight students should finish the back of the sheet they took home yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Heat_Transfer.pdf\">Heat_Transfer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>so, tl;dr<\/p>\n<p>Multi step word problems:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Word-Problems-March-18.pdf\">Word Problems March 18<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Conduction, Convection, or Radiation?\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrpottersclassroom.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Heat_Transfer.pdf\">Heat_Transfer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Intro and MAIN BODY PARAGRAPHS!!! for weather research paper<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>as always, read! \u00a0Some are still not finished with their second NCCBA book. \u00a0This means they will have less than a week to finish their third book. \u00a0Not good.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>read!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And have a good one,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>-Mr. Potter<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning was a tad disappointing.
