Oh my goodness, a day where we almost got everything done!<\/p>\n

It was quite a productive day, and we accomplished a great deal. \u00a0Your student *should* be exhausted, because I know I am!<\/p>\n
First off, we reviewed volume, and then had our very first ever pop quiz, the results of which made it very obvious who had and had not been completing their homework. \u00a0It is super important that students take their time when completing homework. \u00a0The purpose of homework is for them to practice the skills they learn in class, and to figure out what they do and don’t understand yet. \u00a0I know it’s hard for an 11 year old to really grasp that, but we have to keep impressing upon them its importance.<\/p>\n
Next we got a good 3 rotations of math centers, and added a volume center to the mix.<\/p>\n
Tonight students have a simple worksheet to do. \u00a0They should write down the dimensions of each of the rectangular prisms, and then calculate their volumes.<\/p>\n
